    Xi'An, China Pilgrimage

Xi’an, a key city on the Silk Road, saw the arrival of Christianity in the 7th century through Nestorian missionaries, leaving behind relics like the Daqin Pagoda. In the 13th century, Catholicism re-entered the city with Franciscan missionaries during the Yuan Dynasty, establishing a lasting Christian presence.

    Central Vietnam Pilgrimage

The Vietnamese Catholic Church, rooted in the missionary efforts of the 16th century, has grown to become a significant religious community, representing about 7% of Vietnam's population. Despite facing periods of severe persecution, particularly under communist rule post-1975, the church has remained resilient. Predominantly concentrated in the southern and central regions, it plays a vital role in the country's cultural and social fabric.

While Christianity first arrived through Nestorian Christians between the 7th and 10th centuries, it was during the Mongol Empire in the 13th century that Roman Catholicism gained a meaningful foothold.
