The Camino de Santiago, or Way of St. James, was the third most important pilgrimage in Christendom, with historic routes converging at the tomb of St. James in Santiago de Compostela, Spain.

This journey begins with a refreshing coastal experience, where the sea breeze, rugged cliffs, and serene beaches set the tone for reflection and renewal. As you continue inland, you will encounter a variety of religious sites, including ancient monasteries, churches, and cathedrals. The route winds through picturesque countryside, charming towns and villages, and offers a beautiful blend of natural landscapes and cultural richness.

Gather at KLIA Terminal 1
We will gather at KLIA Terminal 1 at 10:00 PM before our flight departure.

KUALA LUMPUR > DUBAI > BARCELONA > LUGO
Our flight departs at 2:15 am, with a transit in Dubai, arriving in Barcelona at 13:25. From Barcelona, we will take a domestic flight to Santiago, followed by a land transfer to the hotel, where we will rest and prepare for the journey ahead.

Lugo (Rest day)
After a night in Lugo, we will transfer by private car to Lugo and enjoy a free day to explore the city.

Lugo to Ferreira/ O Burgo (27 KM) – 7 to 8 hours
We continue our Camino Primitivo to Ferreira, crossing tranquil countryside with gentle terrain, small villages, and scenic farmland, ending in the peaceful village.

Ferreira > Melide (18 KM) – 4 to 5 hours
The route from Ferreira to Melide passes through forests and farmland, joining the Camino Francés before reaching the lively town of Melide, known for its pulpo.

Melide > Arzúa (15 KM) – 4 to 5 hours
Enjoy the Galician countryside as you continue to Arzúa, known for its cheese and offering many pilgrim services and accommodations.

Arzúa > O Pedrouzo (20 KM) – 6 to 7 hours
Walk to O Pedrouzo through beautiful Galician countryside of forests and meadows. It offers pilgrim facilities, cafes, restaurants, and albergues for a good rest.

O Pedrouzo > Santiago De Compostela (20 KM) – 4 to 5 hours
On the final walk to Santiago de Compostela, the path is filled with anticipation as you approach the city. Arrive at the magnificent Santiago Cathedral, where you can attend the Pilgrim’s Mass and celebrate your accomplishment.

Santiago De Compostela (Free Day) - Feast Day
Today is the Feast of the Apparition of the Apostle at the Battle of Clavijo. We will attend the grand 12 PM Pilgrim Mass at the Cathedral and, if scheduled, we may witness the swinging of the Botafumeiro. Afterwards, we will continue to explore the historic town.

Today you will travel to Finisterre for a day trip.
Overnight at Santiago de Compostela. -
SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA > BARCELONA
Today, we will fly to Barcelona in the morning and visit the Sagrada Família and Barcelona Cathedral.
Overnight at Barcelona. -
BARCELONA > DUBAI > KUALA LUMPUR
We will spend some relaxing time in Barcelona and board the evening return flight home to Malaysia.
