Kuching, the capital of Sarawak, Malaysia, is a vibrant city known for its diverse food, rich culture, and stunning natural landscapes. The city's culinary scene offers a variety of flavors that reflect its multicultural heritage. Kuching's cultural diversity is celebrated through numerous festivals and events, showcasing the traditions of its many ethnic groups.
The Catholic faith has a significant presence in Kuching, with the Archdiocese of Kuching playing a vital role in the community. Established as the Apostolic Prefecture of Sarawak by Pope Pius XI in 1927, it was later promoted to the Apostolic Vicariate of Kuching by Pope Pius XII in 1952, and elevated to a metropolitan archdiocese by Pope Paul VI in 1976. St. Joseph’s Cathedral, the seat of the archbishop, stands as a historic landmark and a center for religious and community activities, reflecting the deep-rooted Catholic heritage of the city.

KUALA LUMPUR > KUCHING
Upon arrival in Kuching, we will begin our day with a visit to St. Joseph’s Cathedral, followed by the History Gallery at ACCPC, located just beside the cathedral. Next, we will explore St. Peter's College Major Seminary, situated behind the cathedral.
We will then proceed to Sacred Heart Church, Kota Sentosa, before stopping for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Borneo Cultures Museum, one of Kuching’s iconic landmarks. This five-story museum, located in the city center next to Padang Merdeka, showcases Sarawak’s rich cultural heritage through its distinctive architecture and exhibits.
In the evening, we will take a short break to rest and freshen up before attending our first-day Mass at St. Peter Church, Padungan. This newly designed church stands as a prominent landmark in Kuching, featuring Gothic architectural elements such as pointed spires, ogival arches, flying buttresses, ribbed vaults, rose windows, and stunning stained glass.
After Mass, we will enjoy dinner, return to the hotel, and rest for the night.

After breakfast, we will depart for the Catholic Memorial & Pilgrimage Center (CMPC) at Mount Singai and St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Batu Kawa. Known for its breathtaking views and serene atmosphere, Mount Singai has long been a sacred site for the Catholic community in Sarawak. At its heart, CMPC serves as a place for prayer, contemplation, and worship. Here, we will participate in the 14 Stations of the Cross, a symbolic journey through the Passion of Christ.
Afterward, we will return to town for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, one of Malaysia’s three orangutan rehabilitation centers. This renowned sanctuary offers a unique opportunity to observe semi-wild orangutans in their natural forest habitat. As one of Sarawak’s most popular attractions, it is easily accessible from Kuching.
Returning to town, we will attend Saturday evening Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church, BDC.
In the evening, we will enjoy a farewell dinner followed by free and easy time to relax or explore at your own pace.Finally, we will return to the hotel for a well-deserved rest.

After breakfast, we will depart for the Sarawak Cultural Village, an award-winning Living Museum spanning 17 acres, located just across from Damai Beach Resort. Here, you will experience Sarawak in half a day, learning about the diverse cultures and lifestyles of the state’s various ethnic groups. The visit includes an engaging cultural performance showcasing traditional music and dance.
After lunch, we will return to the hotel for some rest and a chance to freshen up.
As St. Peter Church, Padungan can accommodate only 1,000 parishioners, we will need to line up early to secure our seats for the special Consecration Mass.
Following Mass, we will enjoy dinner/supper before returning to the hotel for the night.

In the morning, we will attend Mass at Carmelite Chapel, Kuching as our closing Mass.After breakfast, those who wish to do some last-minute shopping can visit local stores to buy Kek Lapis, Butter Cake, Shao Bao, and other souvenirs.
We will then have lunch before departing for the airport.After boarding, we will fly from Kuching to Kuala Lumpur.
