WORLD YOUTH DAY
(24 Jul to 10 Aug 2023)
Mary Arose and Left with Haste
Mary arose and went with haste» (Lk 1:39) is the bible quote chosen by Pope Francis as the motto of the World Youth Day that will be held for the first time in the capital city of Lisbon, Portugal.
World Youth Day (WYD) is the gathering of young people from all over the world with the Pope. It is also a pilgrimage, a celebration of youth, an expression of the universal Church and an intense moment of evangelisation for the youth world.

We will continue with the Catechesis sessions in the morning, where we will hear various topics related to our faith. In the afternoon, we will gather with other pilgrims to await the Papal Welcome, where the Pope will address and welcome all participants to the WYD event.

On the final day of WYD, which is Sunday, we will gather for the Closing Mass, which is a highlight of the event. After the Mass, we will participate in the Pilgrim Walk, which is a symbolic journey that represents our faith and the shared experience of the pilgrimage.
