With its diverse ethnic community, the city has a rich heritage and spirituality that is in various aspects of its culture, including architecture, customs, and religious traditions.

A new addition to Medan's spiritual landscape is the Shrine of Jesus the Divine Mercy Mountain, located in Kabanjahe. This shrine occupies a sprawling 10-acre piece of land that was miraculously given to a devoted believer. The shrine is a place of worship and pilgrimage for Christians, featuring a statue of Jesus the Divine Mercy and offering a tranquil and serene environment for prayer and contemplation.

We will be departing from KLIA2 to Medan and arriving on the same day.
Our journey begins at the Immaculate Conception of Mary Cathedral, a beautiful neo-gothic architecture that serves as the headquarters for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Medan. Next, we'll enjoy a delicious lunch and then make a brief stop at the Catholic Center. Afterward, we'll proceed to the Marian Shrine of Annai Velangkanni to attend Mass. If our schedule allows, we may also explore the Maimun Palace before our evening dinner.

Following breakfast, we'll embark on a journey to Berastagi, where we'll partake in Mass at the Gereja Katholic Paroki St. Fransiskus Assisi. This captivating church features a blend of Batak architectural styles, with ornate interiors and captivating stained glass windows. Subsequently, we'll have the chance to explore the bustling Berastagi Market.
Afterward, we'll continue our adventure by making our way to the Divine Mercy Mountain in Kabanjahe. This sacred shrine is a dedicated space for the Divine Mercy of Jesus and is renowned for its tranquil ambiance and profound spiritual significance. At 3pm, we will come together to recite the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Following our visit to this revered site, we'll return to Berastagi for dinner and check into our hotel.

In the early morning, we will return to the Divine Mercy Mountain for Mass before heading to Taman Simalem Resort for lunch. Following our meal, we will explore the Gereja Katolik Beato Dionysius in Sumbul. This Roman Catholic church is notable for its traditional Batak Pakpak architecture. After our visit to the church, we will journey to Samosir and enjoy dinner at our restaurant.

After breakfast at the hotel, our first stop will be the Museum Huta Bolon Simanindo, a cultural museum featuring a captivating collection of artifacts and traditional Batak cultural items. Following our museum visit, we will attend Mass at the Gereja Katolik St. Mikhael Paroki, also known as the Catholic Church of St. Michael Parish. This beautiful wooden church is constructed in the traditional Batak style.
After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, we'll continue our journey with a visit to Patung Yesus, Bukit Sibea-bea, also known as the Statue of Jesus on Sibea-bea Hill. This remarkable statue is one of the tallest in Southeast Asia and one of the highest statues of Jesus in the world. We'll then explore Kampung Ulos Huta Raja before returning to our hotel.

On the last day in Medan, we will start with Mass at the hotel before having breakfast and checking out. Following that, we'll visit the renowned Huta Siallagan, known for its historical stone chair. Subsequently, we'll board a ferry for our return journey to the mainland, arriving at Parapat.
In Parapat, we'll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. After our meal, we'll embark on a drive to the airport via Siantar, making a quick stop to purchase some local snack products. Finally, we will make our way to the Kualanamu International Airport for our return flight to Malaysia, bidding farewell to Medan.
