NORTHERN VIETNAM
Footsteps of Vietnamese Martyrs
and French Missionaries
PILGRIMAGE
(12 to 16 October 2026)
The Vietnamese Catholic Church, rooted in the missionary efforts of the 16th century, has grown to become a significant religious community, representing about 7% of Vietnam's population. Despite facing periods of severe persecution, particularly under communist rule post-1975, the church has remained resilient. Predominantly concentrated in the southern and central regions, it plays a vital role in the country's cultural and social fabric.
Rev. Fr.Dominic Tan
Spiritual director
On this pilgrimage to Northern Vietnam, you will follow in the footsteps of Vietnamese martyrs and French missionaries. You will witness historical sites, experience cultural heritage, and see the lasting impact of their legacy on local communities.
