With its diverse ethnic community, the city has a rich heritage and spirituality that is in various aspects of its culture, including architecture, customs, and religious traditions.

A new addition to Medan's spiritual landscape is the Shrine of Jesus the Divine Mercy Mountain, located in Kabanjahe. This shrine occupies a sprawling 10-acre piece of land that was miraculously given to a devoted believer. The shrine is a place of worship and pilgrimage for Christians, featuring a statue of Jesus the Divine Mercy and offering a tranquil and serene environment for prayer and contemplation.

KUALA LUMPUR > MEDAN
We will depart from KLIA2 in the morning and arrive in Medan on the same day.
Upon arrival, we will enjoy a delicious lunch before proceeding to the Marian Shrine of Annai Velangkanni, where we will attend a private Mass. This unique shrine, inspired by Indo-Mughal architecture, is one of the most distinctive Marian churches in Indonesia.
Afterwards, we will make a brief stop at the Catholic Centre, followed by a visit to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Medan—a beautiful and historic church that serves as the seat of the Catholic Archdiocese of Medan.
We will then enjoy dinner before checking into the hotel.

MEDAN > BERASTAGI
Following breakfast, we will check out and begin our journey to Berastagi, where we will attend a private Mass at Gereja Katolik Paroki St Fransiskus Assisi. This striking church features a distinctive blend of Karo architectural elements, complemented by ornate interiors and beautiful stained-glass windows.
After Mass, we will have the opportunity to explore the lively Berastagi Fruit Market, well known for its fresh local produce, flowers, and unique highland specialities.
Next, we will check into the hotel before gathering for dinner.

BERASTAGI > KABANJAHE > SUMBUL > SAMOSIR ISLAND
In the early morning, we will check out and proceed to Divine Mercy Mountain for a private Mass. This beautiful hilltop sanctuary, dedicated to the Divine Mercy devotion, features a tranquil chapel set against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Sinabung, an active volcano. The peaceful surroundings create a reflective atmosphere for prayer and devotion.
After Mass, we will continue to Taman Simalem Resort for lunch.
Following our meal, and if time permits, we will stop to visit Gereja Katolik Beato Dionysius in Sumbul. This Roman Catholic church is notable for its traditional Batak Pakpak architectural style, offering a deeper appreciation of the region’s cultural heritage.
We will then continue our journey to Samosir Island, where we will enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

SAMOSIR ISLAND
After breakfast at the hotel, we will make our way to Gereja Katolik St. Mikhael Paroki, also known as the Catholic Church of St Michael Parish, where we will participate in a private Mass. This beautiful wooden church, built in the traditional Batak architectural style, reflects the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the local community and offers a serene atmosphere for prayer.
We will then continue our journey to Patung Yesus, Bukit Sibea-bea (the Statue of Jesus on Sibea-bea Hill). Standing majestically overlooking Lake Toba, this striking monument is one of the tallest statues in Southeast Asia and among the highest monuments of Jesus in the world.
After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, we will proceed to Kampung Ulos Huta Raja, a living heritage village famed for its traditional ulos weaving.
We will then visit Huta Siallagan, a renowned historical village best known for its stone chairs, once used by Batak kings and elders for meetings, decision-making, and traditional justice.

SAMOSIR ISLAND > MEDAN > KUALA LUMPUR
On our final day in Medan, we will begin with a private Mass at the hotel before enjoying breakfast. After checking out, we will board the ferry for our return journey to the mainland, arriving at Parapat.
We will then stop at Pematang Siantar for lunch.
Afterwards, we will make a brief stop to purchase some local snack products—an opportunity to bring home a taste of North Sumatra’s unique flavours.
Finally, we will proceed to Kualanamu International Airport for our return flight to Malaysia, bidding a fond farewell to Medan.
